Saturday 12th of September 2020 the annual trail race Volcano Trail Run will be held for the seventh time.
Time and location
Volcano Trail Run starts on the 12th of September 2020 at 13:00 at the Volcano Huts in Húsadalur in Þórsmörk. The race ends at the same place.
The course
Þórsmörk Trail Run is a 12 km long trail run through the Þórsmörk Nature Reserve. The trail leads you from the Volcano Huts, through some of the most beautiful landscape in Iceland with the majestic Eyjafjallajökull in the backdrop. Through the birch woods covered valleys, up onto the volcanic ridges and mountain tops over the Þórsörk Nature Reserve, before bringing you back to the finish line, at the Volcano Huts in Húsdalur.

Registration
Registration is open on hlaup.is and the registration fee is as follows:
- Registrations from the 1st of April - 30th of June: 7.900 ISK
- Registrations from the 1st of July - 10th of September: 8.900 ISK
- Registrations from the 11th of September - 12th of September: 12.900 ISK
Online registration closes at 21:00, Friday the 11th of September but registration on-site closes at 12:00 on the 12th of September.
Included in the registration fee is access to showers, sauna and pool after the race but it''s also possible to book accommodation in Þórsmörk after the race HERE
Prizes
All participants receive a medal when they arrive at the finish line. Prizes are for the first three places male and female.

Terms of registration and cancellation
With registration the participant agrees to the terms of registration and cancellation of the race.
Registered participant is responsible for the documentation delivered because of the race (such as race bib). It''s illegal to forward the registration to a third party. It''s not possible to change name of registration from one to another, nor from year to another.
Part of registration fee is refunded due to cancellation if requested as here stated: Before 1st of July - 50% of registration fee
All cancellations must be made by letter, fax or email. In conformity with business practices within Icelandic law, request for refund must be sent to the e-mail volcanohuts@volcanohuts.com, including information of full name, ID number, bank account number, phone number and a copy of the receipt for the payment sent to the participant after registering.
