Bláskógaskokk HSK will take place on Sunday, June 14th, 2026 and will start at 11:00 am.

Participation fee
- ISK 7,000 for 17-year-olds and older (born in 2009 and earlier)
- ISK 1,000 for 16-year-olds and younger (born in 2010 and later)
If you want to secure a ride on the bus to the start line, you must pre-register before 18:00 on June 12th. The bus is free.
Runners must meet at Fontana in Laugarvatn, where they confirm registration and receive a BIB number from 9:00 a.m. on race day. Runners who go by bus will be taken by bus from Laugarvatn to the finish line at Gjábakki (10 miles) and at Laugardalvellir (5 miles) at 10:15 a.m.
Runners get free admission in Fontana after the race by presenting their race number.
Running course
The race will be from Gjábakki, east of Þingvallavatn along the old Gjábakki road to Laugarvatn, see map below.
There are two drinking stations on the running route. There will be no traffic on the race route during the race.
Distances
10 miles (16.09 km) and 5 miles (8.05 km) timed. Timing is with chips.
Categorization
Both genders.
- 16 years and younger
- 17-39 years old
- 40-49 years old
- 50-59 years old
- 60-69 years old
- 70 years and older.
Awards
All participants receive prize medal. Special prizes will be awarded for the first man and first woman in the race in both distances. There will be an award ceremony at the finish line.
